On the beach, protecting finishes and windows
We are taking our RV down to port Aransas and staying at an RV park right on the beach behind the dunes. My parents said the wind and sand will hurt the finish of our new RV .
Is there something I can put on the windows to prevent any etching by the salt and sand...rainX ? This is kinda of a sudden change in plans so we leave this Sunday.
Thanks,
Erika

Unless you are going to live on the beach for a protracted time, go have fun at the beach. A few weeks won't bother anything.
If you're still worried, apply a coat of Protect All or something like it, then wash it after you get to your next destination.

Salt won't etch your glass. I've had boats in salt water & its about the only thing that doesn't take a beating. Your paint should be alright as long as you wash it when you leave the shore. A good wash down of your undercarriage is advisable as motorhomes don't seem to have the same degree of protection to salt as our cars do. A good waxing isn't a bad idea before you go but if time doesn't allow, wax it when you get home.

Wash it when you leave, it'll be fine.
