As far as I am concerned they are all rattlecottoncopperconstricters to be left alone, WAY alone...

That is the longest copperhead i've heard of. Their normal adult length is approx. 3'. Just be glad it wasn't a green rattlesnake, they are very aggressive.

I always wondered if the deep-rooted fear of snakes that many people have is a Biblical thing, ingrained along with a Christian upbringing?

For me.........it boils down to one thing

ANY thing that can move that fast without legs/feet is just ====well unnatural and evil

That's a big Copperhead!

note to self:

Do NOT leave your porch light on....turn it on when you need it, off when you don't. Why? .....well I'll tell ya...... the light attracts bugs, which in turn attracts frogs to eat the bugs, which in turn attracts....yep snakes.

I can't remember where I read the study, but it was about farms/homes that had those all night security lights. Then number of snakes living around those houses whas much higher than those without lights. Snakes feed mostly at night, so they go where the food is and it's not in your RV kitchen(well unless you have a rodent problem)

I Hate snakes of any brand !!! Last month was out in AZ again visiting family,, they have 4-5' adobe walls around their yard,,, bro in law said he has seen several rattle snakes go up an over those walls like nothing... I am rethinking my want to move out west... Although Arkansas has its share of snakes too.... I Don't like snakes !!!!

AZ has green rattlesnakes, which are very aggressive.
Only 2 states in the U.S.A. do not have snakes; Hawaii and Alaska. Too expensive to live in Hawaii, too cold to live in Alaska.
