One upgrade leads to another!

We planned to just add a new couch, but went ahead with carpet, vinyl & curtains instead of valances & blinds...waiting on new counter also since we removed oven & went with cook top only. Also since the new couch is longer, we reconfigured the dinette & made it into an L shape and are having a new table top made (will use double pedestal as shown in one pic). I'm using canvas drop cloths from the paint dept at lowes for slip covers... Here are a few pics -one before with the hideous colors winnebago had & several after....so far....

We also removed the ugly barrel chair & added this nightstand for a more homey look! I'll post kitchen pics when the counter is in. This is so much fun! We rerouted the tv also to over this night stand instead of between front seats. Like I said...never ending!

Loved our golden too, our little girl in a fur coat passed over the rainbow bridge in our arms a year ago on 15th September and we're still hurting real bad after 13 years of tremendous happiness she brought our family. They truly are peter pan dogs, love being loved and when hubby said jump she always said "how high dad?".

We're right there with you on the one upgrade leads to another. Started out with upgrading new window coverings, then TV's from tubes to flats, then fridge died, residential was cheaper and better performance so we got that, but that's leading to battery banks, reinforced basement for the weight of extras, inverter, charges, controllers etc etc etc. Carpet needs upgrading from needing a new engine Spring 2013, when the installers wrecked it on the install somewhat. No doubt it'll be solar next

This labour of love never stops does it? Just hope hubby won't insist on a newer unit, when/if we ever get to the end of the renos LOL.

Sorry for your loss Someday. Yes our fur kids are so special and seems never enough time with them. Maybe one day you'll find another golden to spend quality time with. Nothing like a golden !

Hubby found the couch at SAMs club. Can't remember the brand but it's a wall hugger with dual recliners and a metal frame that we bolted down in the slide for safety. We had talked about two recliners but when he saw this and the comfort it had laying down length wise he jumped on it! It's a seasonal item at our SAMs and they only had 4 left. Call around if you want one too or might find the brand online on their website.
