Obviously since we are talking about open containers while driving the main door would be closed. But, I had a friend who was at a public park once and the police walked right in his rig. When he asked them how they could do that they said because it was only the screen door he had shut that is not considered a real door and anytime the door is open on anything they have the right to walk in without a warrant.
That PO was blowing smoke. He was entering private property without a warrant and he knew it.

I agree FlyingDiver, they wouldn't come into your S&B through the screen door. The PD would have one heck of an invsion of privacy lawsuit on their hands if it were me. And I dislike lawyers more than LEOs.

Dons2346, I have been stopped and searched twice. Both times on I-10 in La. Driving my MH. Both times had open containers of wine and loaded handgun and shotgun. One was a highway patrol officer the other a federal officer with a sniffer dog. They were both looking for drugs. Federal officer sat down and Chatted with us for awhile. It does seem to help in these instances to be a very old senior citizen.
Police can not come in any door, BUT if you EVEN crack a door open they can take that as and invite in. Has happen to myself and others I know, Iowa, Tennessee , Indiana! I keep all booze outside, no worries,
