Our bed slides around on platform

Anyone have suggestion to keep mattress in place? We have a 4 in foam topper and 8" mattress and it slides on plywood platform even while sleeping.

Thanks

Same issue here, the only fix I see is to put a foot on the bed. A vertical board at the end.

I think either the factory or the previous owner of our rv added this. It's just a 2x4 section at the base of the bed. It holds great.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I too think the no-skid material for rugs would be your best bet. Noticed you are kinda new on IRV2 and wanted to say hello!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

You stud! I haven't managed to move a bed in years!

Seriously, x2 on the rug skid tape. In some cases, if you add a foot board retainer it may interfere with slides. Some simple L brackets would help, but chances are you will scratch yourself whenever you change the linens.

For a more industrial solution try grip tape for stairs. It's available in widths from 3/4" up to 4 feet. They also come in different grits, adhesives and adhesive strengths. A roll of 3/4" x 60' is listed at less than $10.

We use the nonskid mat for rugs. Think we bought at Walmart. Similar to not skid shelf liner.

At home depot in the area rug section. On a little wire shelf down on the bottom. Hard to find but it is there.

We've been using a roll of the shelving non-skid for a couple years. It has helped greatly, but still have to slide the mattress back every now and then. We just inherited a whole box of the sticky carpet non-skids when the parents moved to their retirement resort. I'm going to add those as well. That should do it!
