Our Bodega Bay trip
Just got back yesterday to a flooded office and leaks from ceiling. Ugh!! The plumbing was repaired and restoration has begun.
As far as our Bodega Bay trip...
We started off in Paso Robles for 1 night where it was cold and super windy. We could not sit outside or open awning.
The next day, we went to Porto Bodega Bay Rv where we had a sight on the water. The spaces were very close together and it was super windy. Could not sit outside.
Last stop as Santa Cruz/Monterey KOA. This was the best stop. Sites were big and beautiful and weather was great. Very little wind. Our site was backed up to the reserve. It's expensive but worth it.
Next month. Casini Ranch, if the repairs are finished in the house that is. Otherwise, we might have to cancel.
Still, this last trip was slightly better than the Arizona trip we took in May.

Ever since I installed a tank less water heater in the attic, I always turn the water off when we go out of town.

We stayed at Monterey/Santa Cruz KOA last month and it was beautiful! Very family friendly (although we didn't bring the grandkids). Quiet and spacious with all the amenities. Central to Santa Cruz and Monterey and close to beaches!

I always enjoy Doran beach at bodega bay. Only problem is they are first come first served. And they fill up quick on the summer weekends.

Cassini is always a joy. Most campgrounds on the coast do get windy and cold.

It looked beautiful but I believe they don't have hookups.

Yup. We only briefly went to Seaside. Mostly stayed at campground because it was so nice.

There are a few that have power, but not a lot.

Actually they are eliminating the first come first served sites. Reservations only, the same with West side just across the bay. They are both Sonoma County parks. They had to many arguments over those sites.

Doran and Westside are reservations only, mostly, no hookups, water faucets are plentiful, dump station at $7.oo per by credit card only.
I just snagged a front row site at Westside for mid July, amazing anything available this time of the year.
If you like beach side camping check out Jalama beach, 15 miles off of Hwy 1, about an hour drive!

Likewise. Unfortunately, we were in AZ when the furnace failed and froze/broke 95% of CPVC pipes in the house. But no water damage
