A friend has an Alfa with CAT engine. He has a pipe attached to the slobber tube and ran across to the passenger side of the coach to vent the slobber tube exhaust to the side of the coach. You can see a gentle stream of blue smoke emit from the pipe.
That would be directed towards the radiator without the extension pipe.
