I am marooned in the Knoxville area and will be forced to drop the rig off at Cumberland Cummins in Knoxville overnight from Monday to Tuesday and maybe even Tuesday night...I will be staying at the Days Inn I believe, which is closest to Ault Road where Cummins Cumberland is located...Since I'll have a rental car, I am wondering if there's anything to see or do during the day on Monday.
Eating establishments would also be a good idea, although I'm sure the chains are well represented...
Something historic or interesting, even a shopping mall would suffice..
Anyone have any ideas?

Bob You might want to check out the Knoxville Zoo. I've heard it's a good one.

Gatlinburg is a neat area with lots to do and see. It also has some great eating establishments.
Good luck and I hope you get on your way quickly. Be safe.

Take a drive up to the cumberland gap area. Pretty drive and of historical significants. State park with lots of great views back into Tennesse and over into Kentucky.

If I had have known, we could have hooked up. I live within a short drive to Ault Road. We would have gone to Pro Bass's, Islamaroda restaurant at exit 407, taken in a Smokies baseball game, or had a cold one and steak at Texas Roadhouse.
Hope there's not too much going on with the Essex. You just got the puppy.
