I once caught a possum in a Have-A-Heart trap that had killed several of my pet ducks. I dumped the trap into an outdoor sink full of water.
I have seen several people get killed in aircraft accidents but the sight of that possum drowning has stuck with me. Drowning is a horrible way to die.

I was thinking the same thing [moderator edit]. Which is probably the most humane way to kill one. BB or Pellet to the brain... won’t feel a thing.

When I was younger I enjoyed varmint hunting as much as the next guy, but speaking as a guy who has disposed of more than his share of varmints... I’d much rather figure a way to keep them away and not have to deal with the disposal and cleanup.
Every time I have to set a live trap.... First thing I catch is ALWAYS a skunk. Fun fun fun let me tell you..... NOT! Lol

Search mini electric fence on this site. If I had that problem I would use it. I saw a squirrel in my engine compartment once - got my attention.

Used these at work. Baited with pet food. Reusable. Used the mouse version at work too and use one now at home and in the RV.

I agree. The rules do not ban any talk of the “evil things that go bang”. Just needs to be on topic of RVing, which it seems it was. It’s in the fourth bullet of the rules-no pun intended.
But yes, when using sticky traps for rodents around the RV, small caliber like .22 rat shot or air pellets are the most humane way to dispatch. If at a park I would see if maintenance would handle the final destination.

Lights work but must go on and off like Xmas lights. Auto dealerships sell blinking 12v lights for engine bays. Moth balls work if you don't breathe it. Really hot chili powder works and is perfect for dry spaces where wind won't blow it away.

Desert parks in Az all have their hoods up and it helps a lot. Not for a class A.
