Wonder when the hi-end coach manufacturers are going to get with it and include self storing patio mat's .

I thought this might be a dumb thread but I was quite wrong. I found out a couple of things. First being apparently I am the only person here who has a rug that he rolls up instead of folds. it slides right into one of the pass-through compartments. I roll it up inside out so the corners don't curl upwards next time.
Second would be a few more reasons to go ahead and pop for that Milwaukee leaf blower I've been eyeing. Like I wasn't going to buy it anyway.

I believe I mentioned that I roll mine up and store it in the pass-through. After blowing it off with my little Bosch leaf blower.

Ours has creases that make it pretty easy to accordion fold and fit into the bag (& then into the pass-thru).

I like the idea of the leaf blower, but not enough to add another item to the list of stuff we bring. For the time being I think I will continue to use a broom at the campsite then hose it off completely when we get home. In fact, ours is dropped across a couple of patio chairs as I write this.

Anyway, whatever way you store it, I sure like how durable and easy to clean it is.

Cheers!

Too anal? Nope. Unless you actually ironed out the creases, then maybe so!

Makes sense, I haven't noticed any like those. I might have to look into these creases. Outside rugs do need replacing from time to time.

Mine rug came from Wally World. It folds up into roughly a 12 inch x 48 inch x 8 inch package and has a carrying handle. Has creases.

Good question. We has 3 2-9x12 and 1-3x5 and a rubber mat. Our oldest one is about 10 years old. The 3x5 and rubber matt we use at the door if it just the 2 of us and its muddy out.

Storage: fold original fold lines and store in camper. No bag. it all goes in the storage area that has dirty stuff. Most of the time I sweep clean. But now there are the times we camp and it rains and mud and grands kids are with us. So yes the rug go's down in the mud. It's been stored wet and dirty. Later its removed at cleaned on pavement. First broom sweep both sides. Then water and dish soap and a broom and rinsed. Set over a table or saw horses to dry.

I made a rack out of 1/2" PVC and store the rug on top of it in the basement. Folding chairs and a hammock go underneath it. It's about 18' T X 12" W X 96" L. You can just see the end of it in this picture.

I have a 9x12 indoor out piece of carpet. Easy to clean. I have a old fluorescent tube box that had 30 tubes that was in it. Roll it up and put it in the box.
