This is me too. I would have to add have reasonable quiet times, like 11:00 PM except for holidays.

So, it's not really "camping", it's traveling. I've also stayed at one of the "Lake" RV parks in south Houston while undergoing treatment at MD Anderson. Extremely well done and neat. I wouldn't put down these full time/permanent type RV Parks as they do serve a purpose.

You make another good point—not everyone uses their RV solely for camping.
We also use ours as a personal hotel room when we visit family or go on non-camping vacations.
We don’t like the idea of bed bugs, or that a hotel room is often cleaned to the standards of a lazy or disgruntled employee. And we really just like our own space, having access to our own things, our fridge, etc.
We stayed in one place while visiting a theme park in our home state that had mostly locals, and most were retired. We enjoyed visiting with them. I think we might have felt differently had they been loud, destructive, or criminally inclined.
We also have a Disney trip planned, and we will stay at Fort Wilderness. I realize it’s a campground, but we aren’t really there for the campsites.

For some places, we like a real campground. For state parks, national parks, etc. we want spacious sites with picnic tables, fire pits, and trees. For times that we visit theme parks or relatives, smaller sites are fine.
