We use a safe deposit box for what ever we have left.

You don’t have to physically hold PM. And if it all hits the fan none of those will matter. You’ll need chickens, pigs, and a garden. And lots of ammo to keep them.

I don’t really have a positive opinion of “collectibles” as a hedge. YMMV.

If you can't hold, you don't own it.

Chickens and pigs and a garden are just too much work.

I have stuff to trade to get what I need.

The storage cube was a perfect solution for me. As a Canadian travelling to the US for months at the time. I can't bring some of my "stuff" across the border.

Certainly don't wont to leave it unsupervised in the greatly downsized Stick 'n Bricks.

I get to justify (blame) the cost of the storage on the loom and the piano...

That reminds me of that old joke with the punchline "So, how do you start a flood?"

how do you start a flood?

great question.
the best i can suggest comes from history...
some folks way back when... started acting and doing a certain way..
sho' nuf.. got them selves a big ole pile of water.
only one ole fella and his folks had a boat...

but i don't think that will work that way again...
