In a flash as you drive by could be confusing
But it appears that 70 mph is 'posted speed limit'
Sign behind post is probably 'posted speed limit for towing'
Then there is the 55 Mph......Construction Zone Speed Limit
And the 45 Mph construction zone speed limit WHEN workers are present
My favorites

Old-Biscuit is pretty much what I get from the signs also except I thought 65 for trucks like here in IN.

Do they really think we'll be able to read those signs at 65 mph?

Agreed. Have to laugh. Even the crew that places the signs must sometimes scratch their own head wondering what's going on with all the signs.

Notice the cross at the base of the pole? Someone else tried taking a picture of this I guess.

If you are from out of state, I would suggest that you go with the lowest posted speed. Out of state vehicles are considered Easy Money in most states.
Especially if it is a neighboring state and you are from TEXAS!

When we first looked at Rose-Hulman for our daughter's college education the exits were under construction at Exit 11. That was in 2014. Now with her graduation coming up in May we are still dealing with construction at that exit. I wonder if it will ever get done!
Oh and to add to it, the KOA used to be right at the exit. Now you have to exit onto route 46 south and go down an exit and then double back to the campground. I wonder who planned that brilliant move.

Just a congrats to her.
Not been to Rose in a few but it's really changed down there in the last 40 years.
1980 BSME here and son was 2009.
