Polar Vortex

DW says she is in the polar vortex. She's standing under the a/c vent.

This is the second day of traveling southwestward from south Indiana into western Kentucky in 100F heat and the a/c isn't keeping up especially with the sun in the fishbowl windshield. More of the same tomorrow.

We're talking about squatting and not traveling next July and August. I think this will be the way of the future.

Yeesh!

I agree ; our first day of travel , as we retreat from AZ in the spring , west into the sun across the desert , is a killer .
Temps then are only mid 90's

We can't wait to make the turn north and get the sun off the windshield .

Then we park the coach in the yard till school is back in in the fall. No sense being on the road in the heat with bumper to bumper traffic to contend with .

Come on up to the Oregon coast. We have been here for a month and still waiting on our first 75 degree day and first 60+ degree night. GREAT weather.

Sounds like we're not alone with " Christmas in July " .

We arrived home from our snowbird site March 6 th and I think I could count on two hands the number of days when no rain has fallen .

Still turning on fireplace to take the chill off , so we can enjoy morning coffee without shivering .
Last year at this time every window in the house was open .

Any bird knows you don't go south during the Northern Hemisphere summer.
