Pontoon Boats with Slide outs

I have seen house boats anchored in Florida with add on rooms but now there is a factory Pontoon Boat with hydraulic LCI conponents.

I also have a pontoon boat, 20' and for the life of me can't possibly imagine wanting something like that. No doubt they will sell some but water and electronics, i.e. slide mechanisms, don't mix. We have enough of a corrosion problem with the RV at the NW FL bayou property without something in the water like that.

They can use hydraulics to open and close the hull.

Boats have been using systems like that forever, tilting outdrives and outboard motors.

How would you tell someone you didn't want on your toon that there is no room after you opened that up?
