If you have a recently made coach with a Square D panel in it:

Wild how their qos are way more expensive than the homelines and have a worse service record. Smaller size I guess. I just purchase a 125 amp exterior service panel in homeline. A real piece of junk. Box had popped spot welds, was welded out of square so the cover wouldn't fit over the breakers. A sign of the times.

Once upon a time, Square D was top of the line. Times do change.

Thanks for posting this, hope more people look at it and pass on the information.

I'm sure the recall will only cover the cost of the service panel, can't imagine what it would cost to have a service panel changed out.

At least in an RV you can isolate the power from it, I pulled mine, I guess if I had to change it out it would take about 4 hours, more into it then you'd think.
But in most residences there is no way to easily isolate the box without calling the utility company since the switch is inside the meter box. I guess you could break the seal and ask for forgiveness later. But even with that changing out a service panel with 40 breakers would be a chore.

Be easier to gut the box but wouldn't pass recall . I don't know if mounted with special rivets .Surface mount on basement or building wall would not be as difficult hopefully most conduit comes in the top. Surface mounted in the wall is tough one. Every time you bend copper wire it hardens, especially after tight bends to make a breaker box neat.
