Hello,
Has anyone had any experiences with PPL Motorhomes in Houston, positive or negative?
PPL has a grading on each unit. Has anyone had an experience to know the accuracy of their ratings. i.e. is excellent or just very good?
Thanks. Houston is over 300 miles away so a little far to just run over. But the time is coming for a road trip. Momma's jar of quarters is just about full

I go to PPL every Oct. just to look. I have never bought anything but I would , they seem to be very nice and helpful people. It is a consignment lot so prices are suggested. The pictures on the web site are flattering in most cases. I think it would be a great trip if I were looking to buy, especially if you have cash and time to dicker. Of course you have to have your ducks in a row when you look and buy. That is a fact anywhere.

Had quiet a bit of work done a few years back by their service department and was happy with it. Recently had them odrer some parts for my old awning and they had them drop-shipped at my door about 3 days later.
Seems to be professionally operated.

I have Sold a Motorhome through PPL and have used there parts department on a number of occasions (competitive prices) (Tow Bar, Base Plate, Standard RV Supplies, etc.) Always had a good experience with them and as TXiceman said very "professional".

While I've never dealt with them personally, other than to order some stuff from their website, like the reports here, everything I've ever read about them have been positive. If I were looking to buy a used RV or consign one, I'd have no hesitation about working with them.

We can't say enough great things about PPL. We live in New Zealand (about 6,000 miles away) and purchased our first motorhome from them over the internet and flew up to complete the sale. They couldn't do enough for us. They helped us with every aspect of the purchase and organised delivery to Galverston for shipping to NZ. Several others here have bought from them and have also been very pleased with the service they provided.
The rating they provide is for the interior only but is a very good indication of the condition.

Thank you everyone for your input. I will plan a trip over their direction in the next couple of weeks.
