Diesel will always be quite a bit more expensive since it has much more energy potential than gasoline.

.24 more for diesel here in Oregon where I live. My break even point is .50. For the last year at least diesel has been the same or sometimes a little less than reg. Just in the last month did diesel creep up to .24 more than reg.

$3.19 for 87 octane.....$4.03 for #2 diesel. That's why I don't go to Love's!
You can't make stuff like this up. Well, I guess you could. But I didn't. -Paul

The difference in price makes no difference to me. I drive an oil burner so I have to pay the price anyway. Right now, I can get diesel for $3.80 and gas for $3.59 in Yuma

Love's in Tehachapi Ca is sticking it to the truckers at $4.89 for diesel.

I'm convinced that the big truck stops jack up their prices so when they offer the discounts to TSD and the like they still get the price they want. I have found the local suppliers of diesel to be 40-60 cents a gallon cheaper in lots of places. The down side is that many of the local places are hard to get into. The price differential also varies a great deal by state.

South Florida jumped from 3.43 to 3.75 in the last week in my area. Diesel is going up and it's going up like it always does in this type of economy.

But the truckers aren't actually paying that price. TSD (Open Roads) is $4.71 at that Love's location. While still high it's less than the nearest TA/Petro at $4.753.

Home heating oil is in the game also this time of year. It always pushes up prices in the winter months.
Circle K is 3.75 here in FL with a station down the street at 3.49. It's just a straight rip off pure and simple.
Station owners are also posting false prices on Gas Buddy to suck us in. Be aware.

E TN, cheapest diesel near me is Sam's club $3.32 vs $2.89 for gasoline.
In Nov I paid $3.18 to fill up. But I notice that all the local stations just raised the diesel price so it's just a matter of time before goes up at Sam's.
I drove past a Love's on the interstate on Thursday, price was $3.95. Just doesn't make sense other then they can get by charging that much and the larger players have contracts/agreements that offer discounts.
