Price of Port home/Casita

I am interested in building a small 1 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath, living area, kitchen, laundry room port home with attached RV garage for a class A 40ft Motorhome. I have recently discovered Mt. Olive Shores North RV community in FL and like it a lot. My Wife would like to be in this area or somewhere around Nashville, TN. I am trying to figure out costs associated with building as well as lot price. There are a few resell units available but the prices vary and none meet our needs. If you have built or purchased a port home similar to what we are looking for what were your total investment costs? We are hoping to stay around the 250K range and not sure if this is feasible or not?

Wow! I would think $250,000 for a tiny casita is overpriced. Best you get a couple bids from builders in your area for the best cost comparison. Every area will be different. You'll need to get the park's regulations and details before doing this. Good luck!

At The Great Outdoors in Titusville FL you can get what you're looking for. Prices vary from around $100K up to about $1.2M. Mountain Falls in Lake Toxaway is another option. Start around $300k and go as high as $2M. It's been my experience that you won't get a whole lot for under $250K but you can find a few usable sites in that range.
