Interesting in va beach virginia gas is 2.94 and diesel is 3.64 lower than Texas and we don't drill or refine in this state. During t summer trip to Kentucky the gas prices were much lower than virginia but they have some refineries there.

I just traded in my 09 gasser 30 ft with one slide I was getting 7 mph. New 2 us is a 09 dp 34 ft three slides. Besides the much larger feel inside and the 9.8 mpg so far. The ride is far superior, air suspension. double pane windows. Engine noise in back we fell in love during the test drive. My DW who did not like to drive the gasser loves to drive this one. She said the feel is like a Cadillac compared to a pick up truck. I can easily drive this dp further without fatigue than the other. But each to their own.

Just got back from being out.
There is a major oil service station @ 2.89 for gas, but they don't sell Diesel. Cheapest Diesel near me is 3.57 @ another major oil service station about 5 miles from my house.
P.S. The gas buddy app works well !

The reason there is such a variety of RV's is because there is such a variety of people and how they use them. The guy in the tent/tent trailer will always be asking why the guy with the Class A gasser really needs that much coach. It goes on and on and on. Buy what you like/need/can afford and don't worry about what others are doing.
You can't spend other people's money.

DITTO... I own a gas MH and it is much easier on our bank account. I own my own business and all of our equipment is diesel and the repairs and regular maint are big $$$$.

My friends complain when we say we are going camping this weekend. They say we are . Glamping. Glamorous camping. Just got back firm a WIT weekend. One of our group just showed us their gorgeous 2013 winnebago tour 42QD 1.5 bath fireplace. Nothing is using propane 6 agm house batteries. Beautiful but too much for us.

3.20 vs 3.77 here in Southern AZ. Pays to use Gasbuddy when looking. I have seen .20 diff in the same town

regular gas is 2.89 vs 3.69 for diesel in Tucson. Prices seem to be dropping every day

the people who like gas vs diesel is just what you get for your money...try to get what you have in a diesel vs gas....its just not there...and lots of people have money...i just had to get an older rig that is nice..could not find any gassers with what we wanted so went diesel...if what you want is in a gasser then good if not you have to move on....theres no way to spend others money like what was said and needs and want dictate along with money to get what fits..but this is not to the op's question i just dived in as others did...jeff

Where I live (in west Texas) gas is going around $3.22 to $3.35 depending on where you buy it. Diesel is still close to $4.00. Now, with that being said, it is what it is, here is the kicker. We have a refinery about 2 miles east of town.

x2 on what sellhomz said about ride comfort, handling, engine noise in the rear of the coach, etc. I had a gasser and have ridden in other peoples gassers. None can compair to the handling and ride comfort that my current DP has. It does indeed cost more to buy and maintain a DP but I'll keep doing it as long as I can afford it. After that I'll see what happens. JMHO
