I've posted on this subject before -- IMO, we are headed down a "slippery slope" when we start selling control of our national infrastructure to foreign interests.

Spanish company Indra just won an $18 million contract to upgrade the open-tolling system on the Indiana Toll Road and build two control centers.

The contract was awarded in Indra by the Spanish and Australian consortium that now operates the toll road on a 75-year lease.

An Indra press release says the contract paves the way for the company to land lucrative contracts in other states, including Florida and Texas.

Indra specializes in information technology and defense, and has done work for more than a decade for the U.S. Navy, according to the press release.

Remember Ross Perot? Well that giant sucking sound he talked about isn't just from things going out of this country --- it's also from things coming into this country.

The least respected Republican in Indiana is Mitch Daniels, regrettably I voted for this man. Fool me once shame on you(Mitch), fool me twice shame on me- The new campaign slogan is "Ditch Mitch!" Now he is proposing a new bypass around Indianapolis for the extension of I69, and proposed to lease it also. Where does he think the money is coming from that's paying for the lease???? Tolls have already tripled on the Indiana tollroad.

We did a trip back to the East coast 2 years ago.

The toll roads cost us a lot. We're not used to them in the west. All our roads are free except for some bridges.

Plus they slow down traffic.
