Propane Regulator Recall
I am posting this note here because my issue apparently applies to other manufacturers as well. I have posted this on the Jayco group on Facebook also.
FYI..for those of you involved in the propane regulator recall. This past summer, I learned this recall was coming and was official. Before I received the recall letter, and out of abundance of safety, I took my fifth wheel into a licensed and bonded RV Service center, of whom detected a leak and replaced it. They in turn spent months trying to get Jayco to reimburse them for the work. Jayco refused, stating the work had to be completed by an authorized Jayco service center. Neither the center or I was aware of this requirement. I then went ahead and paid the bill and sent the receipt to Jayco to directly reimburse me. They again refused using the same language. On a side note, when my 2018 FW needed warranty work, (on several occasions) Jayco “officially authorized” the work to be done by this same service center. I am now taking this issue to the FTC and my local Attorney General’s office for resolution. Bottom line, I am having to pay for a Jayco recall! Please be aware! If anyone else has any other suggestions for resolution, please let me know
