The free stuff is West of Yuma. Why would they go Northeast to Quartzite?

Howdy!

I think anyone and everyone should be practicing situational awareness anywhere they are. These days you and you alone are responsible for you personal safety. You can only count on law enforcement as a after the fact. I just heard yesterday the Police Chief of Los Angeles, California openly state “Do not come to Los Angeles, we can not guaranty you safety”. I have never heard a Police Chief ever say anything like that.

Nope. It was a union guy, not the Police Chief. Apparently the Chief has a different view. Anyway, here's the story. https://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2021...tourists-away/

You don't have to worry about that at all in Quartzsite!!!

There is a Border Checkpoint on the 95 between Yuma and Quartzsite and as we all know that those things find all the "Undocumented immigrants" who mistakenly made a wrong turn at the border

Well, it isn’t safe in Oregon either. We’ve declared a couple of state of emergencies for one thing or another. It’s hard to keep up with the most recent fiasco. If you’re going to risk life and limb, might as well go somewhere warm.

Its simple, if you do not feel safe somewhere/anywhere then you should not be there. Myself, i would have no issue with being in Q right now or even Yuma.

Quartzsite

We've been in Brenda just outside of Quartzsite since mid October. Nothing happening in Quartzsite. We go into town every couple of days, been to parker for groceries. All is quiet. Rver build up is slow, but stands are going up and businesses are getting busy. They estimate from 750k to 1 million people will show here and camp all over. Not bad for a town that has 3500 during the other 6 months

If you're scared then don't do but don't create situations of fear when there are not! Can you post a link to what you're saying about RVers being 'taken down in a heartbeat'.... or anyone for that matter by the typical crosser? Illegals are not looking for trouble. They're looking for a better life. Yes, there are drug dealers out there and other bad people that will 'take you down in a heartbeat' just like they're in all the cities? Have you viewed the recent trials publicized. The mall and school shootings? Those are the kinds of people to avoid.
