Quick connect water hose connectors
Does quick connect fittings cut down on the water coming into the camper? I have one on the fitting going into the camper but I plan on installing more. It’s a lot easier than screwing the water hose in. DW is always complaining about the water pressure in the kitchen. I don’t have any idea if a quick connect cuts down on the water pressure or not.

Check the aerator on the kitchen faucet, it may be clogged with debris. I don't think quick-connects reduce water pressure.

In my experience, it does not affect water flow. I've used quick connects for 15 years. I use them at both the S&B and the MH. I have a 2-filter water filter system that does limit water flow though. Te filter literature sys that max flow is limited and what that flow is.

I agree with baraff. I clean the kitchen faucet aerator once a month. There are always tiny stones and once knocked out the flow is great. Ron

Those "tiny stones" are hardened mineral deposits from water drying on the aerator and screen. Very commonplace West of the Mississippi.

I guess I never thought having to screw a water hose on a spigot and to a connector on my coach was such a chore I needed a quick connector. At some point in time you have to screw a hose or adapter to the spigot anyway so what have you really saved? The next time you have a quick connector in your hand take a look inside of the connector. You will see the size is reduced down which wouldn't really reduce the flow much as the lines running through your RV probably aren't much larger anyway. It might cut the flow back somewhat though if more than one faucet is turned on at any one time.
I carry enough various lengths of water hose where in most cases one hose will get me hooked to where I need to be. One 50', two 25', one 4' and one collapsible 100' hose.

Quick connect water hose connectors
A piece of advice: do not put a quick connect on your black tank wash and on your freshwater supply. Someday when you’re inattentive you may accidentally connect your fresh water hose to your black water flush by accident and if left unattended you’ll experience what you saw in the movie RV. Don’t ask me how I know….
And if you’re lucky the The water won’t migrate back to your transfer switch and cause everything to short out leaving you without power when you just arrived at a campsite in the Badlands in the middle of July. Just saying

It's not about being a chore. On RV's, especially trailers, the hose connection is built into the side of the coach and can be a pain to screw the hose on, often damaging the connection and being difficult to get a good seal. Since they're built into the side of the RV, they're very difficult to replace. By installing the male end permanently on the RV and adding a 90 to the hose connection, connecting the hose only takes seconds and doesn't do damage to the coach. It also eliminates leaks from lost or damaged washers. It also lets the hose hang straight down taking pressure off of the hose connection.
We used the quick connects for years until we got a coach with a hose reel. I don't think anyone is talking about placing a quick connect at the campground water, just at the coach.
I just installed one of the double sized water softeners in one of my bays. I made the connection to both sides of the softener with quick connects. It makes it easy to get the softener out of the bay when service is needed. The connections are up high in the bay and would be a nightmare to disconnect if I had to thread on hoses.

Love my quick couplers. Probably not all created equal in terms of restriction. Easy to tell by looking through them if size is significantly reduced. But unlike an air or hydraulic quick coupler, the water couplers I use do not stop flow when unhooked, thus less restriction in comparison.

Thanks for all the help. The quick connect makes it easier to hookup the water hose. I was at a campground recently that the water connection was in a hole that made it fun to get the hose in, I said some bad words trying to set everything up. I was on a trip with my great granddaughter’s and I enjoy spending time with them not trying to hook up water.

I've used the quick connects for years with no reduction in pressure or water flow. If you get some, be sure to get plastic or solid brass as the coated aluminum ones will corrode very quickly. I use the plastic ones and they work great.

Quick connect water hose connectors
Brass is definitely the way to go.
And for me it’s more than just the one inlet to the MH. I have a jumper hose from the filter housings also, and when everything is disconnected I snap all the loose ends together to keep everything clean. And a quick connect on the inlet stopper plug. As Dutch Star don mentioned, less wear and tear on the threaded collars.
And less wear and tear on my carpal tunnels.
