Quickee steps for Country Coach

The quickee steps on my 1998 country coach intrigue do not retract all the way. They stop an inch or two out. Any suggestions to repair or references to a manual will be appreciated. My understanding is that the company is no longer in business. Thanks

If the steps are not bent or anything is interfering with them then try lubricating all the pivot points first. Otherwise the problem could be in the gear box. Kwikee is now a division of Power Gear and parts are still available.

Country Coach is indeed still in business. They are not at present making new coaches, although that is in the designing/planning stages.

They have a thriving parts/service/consignment sales business in Junction City, Or. Check out the CC web site.

They have very knowledgeable people that can help with a simple phone call.

Sounds like you have something blocking the retraction. Also make sure that the bumpers are adjusted correctly. You can see them from under the steps. It hepls to have someone turn off the coach power when you shut the door to retract then so that they only retract half way. That way you can check the bumpers. You have to be real quick with the power shut off to catch the steps in mid retract.
