Rainy Day Entertainment
So I was wondering what my fellow RV's do or bring for entertainment on rainy days.
I seem to sleep a little more, but would like ideas that keep the mind or body occupied till it's good to go outside. 👍

Mind: read a lot - more than usual.
Body: Bundle up in foulies and go for a long walk in it, then come back, dry out, warm up, and cook something appropriate like soups, chili, stews....I did a wonderful jambalaya on a rainy day at the each last January.

Your right, this forum is great for that. I check this multiple times a day whether I'm camping or not. Thanks for the tip 👍

There's always something to work on inside the MH. I always have a bottle of Liquid Gold in the storage bay to use on the cherry woodwork if I can't find something else that needs attention.

I bought our particular coach based primarily on floorplan. It's one of the very few DPs with a large rear window that is also an Emergency Exit. It also has cabinets and a desk between the bed and the window.
I bought an electric La-Z-Boy rocker zero gravity recliner for that area to ease the pain from severe arthritis in my lower back. I use it a lot every day and sometimes at night. Most of our camping is boondocking or dry camping in USFS campgrounds in the mountains or COE campgrounds near water.
I love to recline in the chair and watch out the rear window and two side windows for wildlife in the area and the views of the forests, mountains, wildflowers, quaking Aspens in a wind, fall color changes, etc. I take lots of pictures out those windows. Just a few weeks ago I happened to see a large bull moose followed by a cow and her calf walk within a few feet of the rear of our coach. I was lucky to get a pic of the bull with my phone's camera.
On rainy days I like to sit quietly and enjoy the sound and sight of the rain. I also like the too rare opportunity to read a book uninterrupted. I must admit I frequently wake up an hour or so later.

We always keep a couple of jigsaws on board. Also play a ton of Phase 10 card game, draughts, dominos. Reading and crossword puzzles. Evenings would be movie night and if internet available some ipad/computer research/planning time, as well as deep cleaning inside and outside of cabinets, fans etc.
If in a great area usually good views of wildlife, flora, lakes, rivers, mountains out the windows. If pulled into a built up area with large box stores/mall close by will typically go and walk around whilst window shopping to get some exercise as we walk typically for an hour minimum daily to try to keep my blood sugar in check.
If weather just a drizzle and not too stormy will wrap up and fish, walk etc. Can always get dry when we return. We've never been ones to typically sit still for umpteen hours doing nothing productive all day.

I always watch the weather a try not to plan a trip on a rainy weekend. But it happens sometimes. The best rainy trips so far have been entertained by watching the ones unprepared for it. Scrambling and getting washed away. I pay attention to lightning on the other side of a big lake and getting closer. There's always a group that is still sitting out, with unprepared, when the rain hits.
