Not sure where you've been with PA, but we have some very nice resorts here in Calif that participate with PA. We are staying a one this september in central calif wine country. Can't beat 50% off the rack rates!

We got our fees back the first time we used our membership at one of our favorite casino rv parks.

Sure, but the real question is, are they $10-$13 more fun than a wayside rest or Walmart or Cabela's?

To me, the PA stuff makes for great waypoints. I doubt I'd make them a destination.

(ETA: And they make great dumppoints, too, if you're not going park-to-park. That's usually worth the price alone.)

Thread warning

Please do not discuss Covid-19 in this thread. We have a separate forum for those discussions.

Then should the thread have been moved? One of the main points in the original thread was that very topic. But the thread also had several points not at all related to COVID. It had concerns about the quality of RV sites. It had concerns about campfires. It had issues with noise. To me, it appears the thread was in the exact proper forum since it didn't fit neatly into any other. The very description of the contents of this form is: "This forum is for topics related to RV'ing which DO NOT fit the other forums." The capitalization is from the forum, not mine. What is the forum administration's position for mixed topics in the future?

Well said.

I'm not a Site Team member on this forum but my guideline would be that any discussion should be limited to the context the OP made; in this case the adherence to PPE requirements in the campground. Any posts that strayed into broader CV-19 areas should be moderated as "Off-Topic".

Some posts span multiple pigeon holes. I too am curious as to how such things should be categorized.

I know that a carefully curated topic is a difficult task and that to the extent possible, keeping things in separate forums is a big help... just trying, like you, to discern where that line is in order to avoid intervention.

There were 16 lines in the original post and 1-1/2 lines mentioning COVID-19. In the 16 lines were many questions about other topics. I also agree that this post should be where it is.

Whether we agree on the topic rules or not, the moderators have the resources to control the discussion and keep it on topic.

Not sure we can over-rule their decision. Not worth the trouble actually. I'm just a worker bee.

Plain & simple this sounds like a poorly run campground. based on the OP discription, rules were in place and not followed, grounds/sites were not maintained.

Years ago we had a similar experience because of lack of research of my part and taking the campgrounds word. As mentioned, check the online reviews first.
