This one of the things we made sure we could do with all slides in and that is be able to move about and go on with daily activities. When the wind is blowing hard we always put everything in and not only have a piece of mind about toppers being damaged but things are so much quieter it is actually peaceful during the big storms.

Having had a slide topper bracket ripped off by the wind I put my slides in if I think there is a risk.

Yeah, we knew what we were getting into with this rig. So far in a year of fulltime travel with this rig, not being able to access much with the slides closed hasn't been an issue.
