Any ideas on how to get 4 gals of oil into a differential EASILY without making a mess?

Go to Harbor Frieght Tool store, they have a hand pump that screws into a 1 gal. oil jug, I bought one when I had to refill my leveling jacks tank.

Go to sears or any hardware and get a garden sprayer.
Get the biggest one they have.
Fill it with what ever lube you need transfered Take the nozzle off the end of the sprayer and pump lube where you want.
I use this method and it works well.
Very clean.

I called my local Freightliner service center to have the rear axle lube changed. They only had 85/145W lube. Called Freightliner and they said NO! 80/90 only. Looks like I'll be looking for a pump as well.

If you have a Freightliner (I do) the capacity according to 1-800-FTL HELP is 7.4 qts.

I just drained and refilled mine. I put in Mobil 1 75/90 synthetic gear oil. Comes in 1 quart containers, and it has a little nozzle fill head/spout on the top cap, like the top of a ketchup or mustard squeeze bottle. Did not need to pump it in. $10.99/qt at Advance Auto.

Thanks for all the replys...
We have the owners manual and actually read it!
It calls for 4 gallons of 75-90 wt. of API GL5/MT1 or the newer SAE J2360 Grainger appears to have the best price @ $56./gal
