Recommendations for delamination repair in Chicago burbs

Hi,
Looking for a few recommendations or anyone you might have used/know that does delamination repair in the Chicago suburbs.

Thanks!!!!
Ron

PS...affordable would be a BIG bonus....(a certain dealer in the 'general' area of Huntley said they would have to charge double because the RV wasn't bought from them)

I wish I could help you but RV repair in the Chicago burb's is virtually non-existent. I can't even find a decent shop to work on my Class C Ford chassis.
I would try Wisconsin, maybe a fiberglass repair shop or boatyard/marine shop. Blistering and subsequent delamination used to be a big problem on sailboats back in the 80's and 90's, or any boat that was in the water for long periods of time. Look around Kenosha, Racine, Milwaukee at service marinas. If they don't have enough business over the winter they might take in an RV.
BTW, I'd tell that dealer in Huntley (and I know who you mean) that you're now twice as likely to never buy from them with that attitude!

me to, I have a 05 Fleetwood with the glass siding the only place its bad is the slide. i'm in luck as we have a rv repair shop locally. but i'm going to repair mine myself, rv repair shop said its just come unglued. I've also been in the auto body and restoration business for 40 years and my boy works in a shop that does rv repair. so we're going to try it this winter or spring. we have in mind to remove the fiberglass skin then reinstall the old skin or buy new skin.

Thanks for the warm welcome and info.

Agree-ed about the lack of RV repair around here (....slim pickings seems to be a bit of an understatement)

What I know of about Chicago was from the drivers seat of my '02 Dutch Star on the way to Nappanee, IN!

I was not aware that repair of delamination was a feasible repair. What is involved?

As I understand it....it involves injecting an epoxy into the delaminated area and then compressing that same area so it dries flat as the epoxy hardens.
(someone please jump in if I have it wrong)
