Red Max Pro 3 removal

Anyone have to remove their RMP 3 yet? Used Zep heavy duty stripper as directions stated. Soak floor for 5 minutes! Kind of hard on the side of a trailer. Applied with a car wash glove over and over again for 5 minutes. No success. Applied on a small spot full strength and it removed quickly. Anyone else have a system that worked?

I used the recommended amount, I think it was 1/4 cup per gallon. Did the test spot three times before it came all off. I only removed it because a blue beacon truck wash put something on only one side and hat ruined the finish and took off part of it.

I am so glad I didn't go down this road. BTW, check out the last page of ZEP's info sheet on this stripper.

I could just leave it out in the sun for one more year. After all it is still half shiney. Not like before Zep being all dull.

I added about one cup of ammonia to dawn and washed, then Bar Keepers Friend and TSP, rinsing well at all time. Reapplied five coats of RMP3 and all is good.

I am still leery of using an indoor floor wax for an exterior fiberglass surface.

At the very least it's sounding like a lot more work than proponents originally claimed. I'm sticking with Meguiar's products.

The floor finish is commercial grade. Its meant to be used on school floors, restaurant kitchen floors and other institutional use.
I've had it on for 2 years, it looked great until some fool at Blue Beacon put some type of caustic chemical on the street side. The left side still looks great. I tried striping a small area, but I could see it would be more work than I wanted. I cleaned the side and put on 2 coats, and presto! It looked good again.

I'm still sold on the Rmp. On full body paint, I would probably pay someone to put on the Maguires

2 professional detail and wax jobs per year and the oxidized fiberglass still looked like crap. One RMP application job that shined like a new penny and lasted 2 years. ??? I will strip it and RMP it again for 2 more years of shine. Could have recoated it over the old RMP but I am a perfectionist.
