We just left one of the TT/Encore Parks 5 miles west of Yosemite. They offered sites for the public and another area for members. We were there four nights and found the staff both friendly and helpful as well as quite unhelpful and quite frankly RUDE. The facilities were wearing out and not well maintained. The location was fantastic! I understood they were under new ownership and updates may follow. For those of you that are members, I hope the value is there for you. For the person that started this thread, use your best judgement. The rude ones that we encountered helped us form our opinion! WE LOVED Yosemite, and they have no place for that 45ft coach! But you can use a tent!

Dreamer... I will say this.. I agree that Encore is not maintaining the parks, they are understaffed, Facilities are not being maintained as well as I like Trees often need trimming and so on...

But this thread is the first and second out of two times I have heard of staff being rude. And I've been parking half time summer and 2/3 time winter in TT parks. for 4 years.
Home is where I park it!

Basment storage/skirting and folding metal steps are planned, It won't look so tall then. till then it works for me.

That's the old pic - before the door was painted! You'll be looking like an Optima before you know it. Saw one at Freightliner today. They pulled partway into bay before I could get a pic.

A few years back, we went to visit our granddaughter in CA. While we were there, we asked if she would take us to parks so we could plan on places to stay the next time we came. She took us to a number of parks and we toured several with no problem. The Thousand trails park turned us away and did't even offer to to give us a tour for a possible membership. I understand the OP's disillusionment with the experience.

But you weren't wanting to drive through in your coach, you were in your car.

I sure wouldn't blame the attendant for it.
If it was fault of the the attendant, (which I doubt), it is excusable.

If it is Thousand Trails/Encore "policy", it makes no sense for a park that sells memberships, and rents sites, to deny entry to a potential customer.

I assume if a potential thief, or other bad guy, pays the fee to rent a site, he is allowed to walk, and/or drive, around the park and "case the joint"?

Thousand Trails

Thousand Trails has a heck of a deal. A zone pass 30 days plus $2 a night after that. For a year for $425 Ask for best deal you might get two zones.
