Register RV in Florida without the RV being in Florida

Is there any way to avoid having an RV in Florida within 30 days to do a VIN verification? I'm looking at buying an RV private party. Has anyone gotten around the VIN verification in state?

I was able to register my first RV by having my local sheriff do a VIN verification and sign the FL form, then Registration done via mail

Download the Florida VIN verification form, fill it out and have it signed by a Law Enforcement Officer.

That, the fees, along with the rest of the forms get mailed to them.

I called the County Tax collector and they were very helpful.

We had our VIN verification done by an LEO in Alabama. We got the form online, had the deputy verify the numbers and sign the form, and the Florida authorities had no problem accepting it.

NY and NJ never verified my VIN # either.

When I tagged my 1st RV in Florida, the clerk took a walk with us across a large parking lot to look at my VIN #. They have VIN check parking spots but only for cars.

Not in Michigan, either. However, all three cars that I've registered down here, they've walked out to the parking lot with me to verify that the number matched the paperwork. The RV was purchased brand new from the dealer and the plate was mailed so they must take the dealer's word on that one.
