Good evening all!

My apologies for the lack of an earlier post today. We thought Dad would be coming home before noon, so I didn't bring the laptop with me to the hospital today.

The doctor finally showed up today about 1/4 til 6pm...Said Dad needed to spend one more night, I think only because of the distance to the hospital should something have happened.

Dad was up and roaming the halls today and feeling much better. So...hopefully he will be home tomorrow before noon...but we will see when the Dr decides to show up and sign off on everything.

We continued to get your posts on my cell phone and Dad really appreciates them.

Thank you all again!!

Richard, we are glad to hear that you are feeling much better! We hope that you get to come home today but encourage you to take it slow at first and get completely well before you go chopping wood. Also belayed

Enter cardiac rehab like your life depends on it, actually it does. After my bypass, cardic rehab seemed like a new lease on life for me. I continue to walk and cycle, now on a treadmill and stationary bike in cold weather.
Like my heart surgeon told me " I repaired the plumbing, the rest is up to you".
I wish you a speedy and healthy recovery!

I'm Home now!!

I'm alive and well, got home this afternoon around three. I'm supposed to take it easy for a while before I get back to 100%. Thanks to all for all your thoughts and prayers, it's great to have friends such as all of you when something like this happens. Your thought, prayers and well wishers are all greatly appreciated

Thursday, after some severe chest pains they flew me out of here via helicopter and rushed me directly into the heart catherazation lab at the hospital in Johnson City, TN. The Dr. said he placed three stents in my Right Coronary Artery; don't want to go through this again.

Again, thanks to all for everything, the floral arrangement sent on behalf of 'The iRV2 Members' was beautiful and greatly appreciated.

Richard, I am so glad you are home. I was curious about the flight and that Johnson City has that type facility. GREAT. Any one around here with heart or head problems, go via Mama to Mission in Asheville.
I would think Johnson City is a lot closer to you. very Good.
Glad you are on the mend and tell Sylvia, We prayed for her too.
Our very best to you
Colette and Joe

Glad to hear you are home, Richard. Now take it easy for a bit so we can have the benefit of your sage advice for many years to come.

Haven't been on here in a couple of days, so am just catching up on this news. Sorry to hear of your heart attack Richard, but am very glad to hear that you are out of danger and at home resting. Take it easy, and we will try to get back to Mount Airey to see you again in the spring. Have a great Thanksgiving!

Sir Richard, Sorry to hear of your condition..
Do you think it was the pig???? You are in good
company, Joe had a stint in 1999 and he's still kicking! Sorry can't make it to the Mayberry rally but we'll see you in Ohio in June.
Speedy recovery and do what Sylvia tells you!!!
