Unhappy Roadmaster Invisibrake 8700

Hope someone can help:

I have a 2010 Ford Edge which is equipped with the Invisibrake 8700 (2 yrs now). Not that many travels miles. Was working fine last fall when I disconnected the battery to put in storage for the winter. This spring when I took it out of storage (and it hasn't been connected to motorhome) I noticed the car brake lights are always on, signal lights working okay but can't get brake lights to go off!! What happened??

This is an electric system

There is a cable that goes to the brake pedal to apply the brakes. My thought is that it is out of adjustment and not allowing the brake pedal to return far enough to disengage the light switch.
