Yeah, it was quite a surprise to me as well!
The most disappoining aspect of this is that my wife, Sandy (the actual Good Sam member) wrote Good Sam about the experience. They never bothered to reply. They did, however, subsequently send us an application to become a Good Sam life member - can you guess what we did with it??

I've been reading all your posts and am still confused as to which Roadside assistance to use. I've been looking at the Sams ERS as well as Camping World's Road Care Plus. I also just found out about Coach-Net from your posts. Does anyone know which would be better?
Thanks
Roxanne

COACH NET is the best one available, IMHO.

Dirk,
That may well be the case, but I don't find a way for an individual user to sign up for Coach Net if the manufacturer doesn't sponsor it. Am I missing something here?

I believe anyone can sign up. I'm under the impression that the manufacturers and clubs listed either endorse Coach Net or use Coach Net for their own roadside assistance while under warranty.
A call to them would answer the question.

Good Sam and Coach Net are the biggies. Good and bad stories can be found about both. Dont see how one can claim one is better then the other. Im with Good Sam but havent had to use them yet.
Good luck

Thank you. But, does anyone have any experience with the Camping World Roadside Assistance Program?
Thanks again.

Since Camping World and Good Sam (at least until recently) were both subsidiaries of the Affinity Group (and, in effect, still are), I would suspect the CW program is very much like the GS program.

I just signed up for my 2nd year with Coach-Net (Gold). I've heard great things about them, but hope I will never need them.

Yes the web site does make it unclear for signing up without belonging to one of the clubs. I do know that they will allow anyone to sign up. Sometimes the clubs offer a bit of a discount to members. Go to contact page here for contact information including their email address. We have had Coach-net for several years and are very pleased with the service when we have needed it.

how about the 3 years that comes with a new chevy or ford chassis when you buy it, has anyone ever used either one. they both say the will change a flat, bring gas or jumper battery etc.
