Roadside Assistance

My Good Sam roadside assistance will expire next month. I was curious as to what roadside assistance other members are using and why.

Have had Coach-Net for over 2 years and have thankfully not needed it. But, it seemed to be the way to go when we were exploring options including AAA and Good Sam. Price seems reasonable considering provided benefits.

Well ...... We inherited a Cornerstone United warranty when we purchased our 2010 Country Coach Magna. We have to agree with the majority of Posters in other threads on this website that this company is very difficult to deal with. This first two times we used them it was "reasonable" as we had small issues and the dollars amounts weren't enough to argue about. However, over the course of about 2 years now, they have increasingly become more and more challenging. Maybe because of the cost of our repairs is exceeding the price of the Warranty that was purchased from them and they are now losing money? I don't know. Maybe the company is just having financial problems in general???? Even the repair people that we work with can't believe how difficult they have become. Time taken for "inspections" and the "review" of the repair shop's invoice, AND the "disqualification" of items on the bills has made these repair shops not want to do the warranty work any longer. Honestly, I don't blame them as it is just as frustrating for us, the owner of the RV, to have to wait and wait for Cornerstone to make decisions/reviews on any particular repair and then disqualify a large portion of the bill, or the entire bill is some cases. Most of our travels are on the West Coast so trying to deal with Cornerstone on the East Coast only exasperate things because of the time zone difference AND they are closed on the weekends and holidays (when we do most of our traveling!!!). They do NOT have an emergency "hot-line" either so if a repair is needed and you can't get through to anyone at Cornerstone, they deny your claims because you didn't get "prior approval". It's just crazy dealing with them. Our final recommendation is to AVOID this company if at all possible!

I've been using Coach Net for 7 years and we are very happy with them. Customer service is excellent. We've had to call them on a couple of occasions and their response was very fast.

We're been with Coach-Net since purchasing our coach. We've had 4 occasions (two flat tires, a failed hydraulic pump and an issue with the air leveling system) to call for a dispatch. In each case they were professional and got us the help we needed in a reasonable time frame. They were excellent in terms of follow-up to ensure that the help arrived in a timely manner and that our issues were resolved. Far as I'm concerned - they've earned our business on each call. I'll keep using them (and recommending them!) until they screw up.

Our GS Roadside Assistance was expiring a month or so ago. I called them about 10 days before it was to expire and told them I was canceling the service to go with CoachNet. I ended up getting 3 1/2 years for $190.00!

Have had CoachNet for six years and used them three times - pleased with the call center and service. Don't anticipate changing anytime in the future. Note they seem to charge an extra hundred the first year ($249) and on renewal it is $149. Don't know why except to discourage people from switching from one introductory offer to another to save a few dollars.
