Roof A/C condensate drip pans
Anybody ever installed these? Thinking of getting a set and was wondering if they cause any problems.

I have these on my AC units. Yes they work if your rig is set up for them. For them to work there has to be drain tubes installed that direct the water down to the ground. In my case I have on in the rear of my rig, drivers side next to the engine, and one in front drivers side in front of the tire.
Some manufacturers install these, some don't. You will have to look up under the AC unit to see if there is tubing preinstalled in your rig to hook up to.
If not the drip cups won't do you any good unless you install a tube on the roof and route it toward the side of the rig, would need one on both sides.

If you don't have a roof water problem now, why spend the money install them?

So condensate doesn't drip down the side of the coach.
I don't think I have to have any tubes installed to drain to the ground. I plan to simply route the condensate over to the gray tank vent stack and let it drip into the gray tank.

Remember that water don't run up hill so if the RV is not level and the roof ain't sloped the wrong way the water may not drain to the vent.
Plus, and AC can produce a lot of condensate over the course of the day, make sure you leave the gray tank open.

With an 80 gallon gray tank capacity I'm not too worried about overflowing the tank. And A/C condensate drain pans and tubes have been used for many years on higher end motorhomes.
I was more wondering about any installation issues since I've never installed a set. I've had them on previous class A's with no operational issues.

Holdenwald48, doesn't your MH have gutters? If not I see your goal.

Yes. But gutters don't stop water from running down the side from the gutter spouts.
