Roof repair on a small corner of my Travel Supreme RV

Thanks everyone for any help in advance. I have a 2007 Travel Supreme 40BH that I live full time in and it's been the best thing I've could have done to save money but I noticed a bad spot in one corner towards the front of the fifth wheel. It's not in the budget to pay 7,500 dollars to have the roof replaced and they won't patch the hole so I'm left to fixing it myself. So since the rig is 10 years old and it has a TPO roof what's the best way to peel back the TPO to repair a 1 foot by 2 foot section of the roof if anyone may know. Also the roof was fine when I bought it so sometime in the year of ownership the roof developed a leak. I used the tape to fix that corner but it didn't stop the leak so know I have no OSB left in that one corner just the TPO roof and it keeps pounding bad in that one corner and I'm afraid it I don't fix it the TPO will rip away. Thanks.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

When we had a 5th wheel I found a small hole in the roof and over a long period of time water had leaked in and rotted the wood underneath. I used a razor cutter and made an "X" cut so I could peel back the rubber. Then I cleaned out all the rotten wood until I had solid wood all the way around the opening. I then cut a piece of 1/4" plywood the right size to overlap the opening about 2" all the way around. I then screwed it down securely. I then sprayed the board and the wood around it with a spray adhesive that I got at Lowes that was safe for rubber, and folded the rubber roofing back over it, sticking it securely. After letting it dry several hours, I used EternaBond 4" repair tape and totally covered the entire repair area, overlapping about 2" all the way around. Finally, I ran a bead of Dicor 502LSW self-leveling sealant around all the edges of the tape. I kept the 5er for several years and never had another problem!

Below are some pics I found. I can't find the ones that show the completed job, but I think you will get the idea!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Yep. A little tougher with TPO but still doable. Open up to dry wood, make the repair and reseal.

The termination bars need to be pulled loose in that one corner because of the roof design. Can I cut the termination bars then peel back the TPO to due my repair or not. Also the place I bought the trailer from gave me some glue to use to put the TPO back on.

Don't know what you mean by "termination bars"
