Roof Sealant

I recently read something about a Sealant product that could be applied without removing the putty gunk that builds up around the vents, Satellite dishes etc. on the roof of my motorhome. I can't recall where I read it. Does anybody know what this stuff might be?

sealant

great stuff it is called "thru the roof". You can get it hardware stores. Not the stuff in a tube, it comes in a can and you use a paint brush to apply. I am going to use it this morning to stop a wind noise I have in the window frame on drivers window. Good luck and safe travels.

I too recommend the Eternabond tape! I used the 4" wide Eternabond to reseal all the large openings such as skylights, vents, etc., and the Dicor 502LSW self-leveling sealant on the small openings such as vent pipes, TV antenna, etc. You can put this on over any existing sealant, just clean it good with alcohol or acetone.

One caution! NEVER use anything that has a silicone base!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Check the Eternabond link above. You will have to clean the area to be taped and it would be best to remove all loose material.
