Hi All

Just thought it maybe a good idea to start thread to list apps that we may find useful. I normally use:
Allstays - list all camps, Walmarts, rest stops, LP, repair shops, etc with contact numbers, reviews websites etc
RV Park Review - list RV parks, contact info and reviews etc
Gas Buddy - deatils the price for gas stations and prices nearby
RV PArky - list RV parks, contact info and reviews etc
SaniDumps - list of dump stations, availability and cost

Try SMART RV ROUTE. It allows you to put in the dimensions of your coach and seems to plan a better route. Keeps you away from places where your coach won't fit.

I like Waze as a navigation system since it is a combination of Nav and Social media. People can input stalled vehicles, police, road construction, hazards and many other things to provide a truly up to date map. If someone keys in the location something like a road hazard, and when you get there it is gone, you can click on an icon to indicate it is gone. Then it is cleared for the next person. If it still exists you can hit the 'thumbs up' icon to indicate it is still there. This think has alerted me to countless issues.

It also alerts you to slow traffic as it tracks your progress and the movement of other Wazers. I was alerted to I-10 being closed in Southern Arizona due to a dust storm and it showed the alternate/detour.

A lot of folks are excited over the new Garmin 770 especially designed for the RV user. It interfaces with weather apps too. I'm seriously considering getting this.

Happy travels,

MrB1LL

I have two weather apps that I use. They have alarms that sound when you are near bad weather. I think there's only about 2000 weather apps.

Thanks for the tip. I will try as we are heading up to Joplin MO for a few days from Houston area. Do not like toll roads.

I like Radar Now!, it started out as a single function ap that brings up the weather radar along with severe weather overlay zones for your current location. It is simple to use, 1 click and you get weather radar loop overlaid on a map with your current position marked, they have recently added more features, sub screens with current condition, and temperature shown on the map, however the essence has remained pure, one click gives you the local radar loop where ever you are.

Not an app but a website I use to pull in vehicle/equipment maintenance specific particulars for keeping track of up to 3 vehicles maintenance, mileage and fuel records.
http://maintainmyrv.com
Has a dashboard to also show what is due within set times, what is overdue. There are many other reports you can print and some you can give to maintenance tech to show what is required by manufacturer of say a Cummins engine in their lingo and manufacturer timeframes.

I second iExit.

It shows you the upcoming exits and what all is at that exit. You can then tap on individual businesses and see what they offer and if they are RV friendly.
We use iExit a lot.

Reserve America has an app call "RA Camping" that I use quite a bit to reserve spots and review potential camping spots.

I use an app called "Where Am I?". It shows exactly where you are. Most important it shows what county you are in. Weather reports usually report inclement weather by county and when traveling I usually don't know the counties.

Saw a book Next Exit the other day at a Books A Million. $17.95. Great detail by exit. Should have bought it. Going to go back tomorrow and see if it is still there.

Funny you mentioned this. I order a lot from Amazon but I couldn't find the book. Realized I was typing iExit like the app. Lol. Will check out RVs Friend
