We have had to have blinds restrung on 3-4 of our blinds. Does anyone know of a Mesa, AZ area restringer person? If I take it to CW, they charge about 120 bux and I know they are making money on the deal. I would like to eliminate the middleman and get them done for less money.
Thanks

Are you referring to day/night shades? If you are, they are easily re-strung yourself by following the detailed instructions at: winnebagoind.con. If you search these forums you will find personal accounts of how these folks did it themselves. Some even use fishing line instead of cotton string used originally. You may buy cotton string of the correct size and quantity for each blind for about $3.
If you prefer to have someone else do this, look in the phone book for blind and shade repair. Around my area there are many small out-of-the-house business's doing this work.

Try OEM Shades in PA. They seem to be good people with very good quality products. I was very pleased with the delivery time frame and quality. I'm sure if you ship them the shade or shades they can turn them around pretty quick.

OEM Shades in PA repaired a shade for my old Vectra. They are located about 10 miles from my home. I dropped the shade off one day and picked it up the next. My shade looked like new. They even cleaned it. They have a large and very professional operation.

Here is an earlier link to a thread on the MCD Innovations shades. This Fall we replaced our large day/night shades at our sofa and dining table with manual MCD shades. They are nice!

Do it the easy way, contact http://www.dirtyblindman.com/, order the kit (about 20 bucks as I recall) and do it yourself. Takes more work to take them down than it does to do the restringing. We've done two of them from the kit he sent and I still have string left over. The CD of instructions is the most value. Once you figure out the "criss-cross" stringing, the rest is easy.
