RV Brokers?
Hello! We haven’t purchased our first RV yet but are planning to soon. Wondered if there are RV Brokers that you would recommend to help us find a used one. Has anyone used a broker to buy? Thanks!

Broker's don't do it for free.
Save your $$$, and just look around.
Floorplan is far and away the #1 reason someone buys a particular coach.
If you are a carpenter, electrician, plumber, and mechanic, you might find an older coach, that just needs a little TLC, and save yourself a lot of cash.
I did.

I would first choose your price range and then pick the highest quality you can find within that range. Not all are built the same. Once you settle on a few manufacturers then start looking online for floorplans. If a RV falls apart what good is a floorplan? Also, the more gadgets you have the more problems you'll have.
You didn't state what kind of RV you want. travel trailer, 5th wheel, Class C, Class A gas, Class A diesel. This forum has sections on the different manufacturers. Start reading. Ask questions on those forums.
Visit dealer lots and look and look. Try to go to RV shows. It takes time to decide on exactly what to zero in on.
One thing with a trailer you need to match it loaded weight-wise to the truck you'll have to pull it. If you have a truck already this is very important. An overweight trailer is dangerous.
For a Class C or A you would probably want to tow a car behind because it's easier to sightesee and tour the surrounding areas with a small car. If you have a Jeep it's even more fun!
I really don't think you need a broker. Have fun!

Let me share my story about using an RV broker. We purchased from an individual in a private sale. The coach was being advertised on RV Trader through POP RV who is an online broker.
Every detail of the negotiations before and after the sale was handled thru the broker. When I made an offer, they contacted the seller. If I had a question about the coach, they would get me an answer. They were there for the showing, insisted I get an inspector, which I passed on, and handled the entire closing.
The seller paid the broker’s fee but in return didn’t have to deal with all the tire kickers and non serious types.
I would consider using a broker if I ever sell as a private seller. As a buyer, it was a pleasure doing business with POP RV.

That's a pretty generic question.
If you're looking at 6-year-old travel trailers, I'd just start shopping.
If you're looking to spend $200,000 on a diesel class a pusher, a broker can be a good option.
We have a local broker that has buyers all over the country. For example: I'm interested in a 2005 to 2008 Newmar Mountain Air. I want the lighter colors and I want less than 100k miles. I want complete service records. I want to know EXACTLY what has been replaced, upgraded, and how it was used.
The broker has certified inspectors all over the country. If I find one, or if he finds one, I don't have to go 2000 miles to be disappointed. I am certain I could buy a coach through him with complete confidence.
The downside is somebody is going to pay the 15-20% fee he gets. Probably me.

Cindy Green with motorhomefinders.com was the listing broker for the King Aire I purchased a few months ago. Quite helpful
Also gave me a referral to New Coast financial for a loan.
Ms Green also tried to help me find a buyer for my Phaeton. While that sale fell through she was incredibly helpful and I highly recommend her.

RV WHEELATOR fee is 5%, and yes the seller pays the fee which is worth not having the hassles of screening tire kickers.

It’s the latter. They sell any make or model and any age vehicle. The broker that helped us buy also has a boat/yacht division.
