RV Carport Cover

I have ordered a 44 ft long metal RV Carport to be installed at my home . I put a concrete drive so it will be anchored and have a nice surface to do maintenance on . They say it's anywhere from 60-90 days from day of order and deposit. Well I'm experiencing another business with Covid 19 excuses. Our travels are on hold with no understanding of When they will call to say its on its way.

Your nice.

I would of told them my travel dates and that THEY would be responsible for storing it safely until you got back.

I wish I had close in the back and down at least 3 panels on mine oh well.

That seems to be the norm nowadays. Supply chain disruption and backlogs. Try to order a new car, truck or RV and see what the expected delivery date may be, if they can even give you one.
I ordered a new truck in January of 2020. Dealer said it would be 6-8 weeks out. Then covid hit, plant shutdowns, ended up causing the dealer to tell me I would probably not see the vehicle until at least the end of the year.

Our neighbor got a bid for a new metal roof in early spring. It was just installed last month. The company making the roofing material was shut down for months.

I agree with scheduling the install for when you get home.

I ordered my 40X50X16' garage in Aug 3, 2020, suppose to be 4 months to get it and put it up. The building itself was delay ~+1 month and the crew was new at putting the building up so it didn't get done until Jan but one of the garage doors was damaged and a window broken so it took a couple more months to get it done. Last payment was in March. The company rep told me at that time they had a price increase and the cost of the building I just had done would be ~25% higher.

But I was pleased with the overall build and quality of the building and now have a dry enclosed place to park and work on my rig.

With anything ordered at this time, unless it's an "in stock" item, you will have to figure in for COVID-related supply chain issues. Even IF in stock, having a qualified crew to assemble might still be an issue.

That said, an RV port, IMO, is the next best thing to fully enclosed/climate controlled inside storage. We built one in 2010 (https://www.irv2.com/photopost/showg...GzNAnujcnBszQw) & it was the BEST thing for keeping our RV's protected from sun/elements. Plus it was SO nice to stay dry when hooking up in the rain.
