I also work with marketing and sales...I think you need to add..a staff section for parts, service, sales admin. etc with each phot, extension and email address, I think you also need a loan calculator and finance options on the site....for what is worth hope it helps...Ron

Ron,
There is a link to a loan calculator on each individual unit page.
As to financing we deal mostly with local banks and credit unions. Some buyers arrange their own financing. However, you make an interesting suggestion. I might be able to add a financing page with links to our most popular financing institutions - a project for next week.
Although there are phones all over this small dealership, I don't believe there are any programmed extensions. When a call comes in, who ever fields the call broadcasts over the phone intercom. There is no after hours voicemail! The ownership is beginning to consider a new phone system with voicemail and programmable extensions in early '08. I'm hoping that my website improvements will translate to an improved bottom line to pay for it.
If you go to the service page you will see every employee save for the two salesmen, the GM, bookkeeper and yours truely. No employee has a business email address.

Yeah I believe that link would be beneficial...also I believe it is a must for all to have an individual email as to personalized service today is as important as having the prices listed. The phones will come later I'm sure but a face name and email is a MUST. other wise it is looking good...I would also add a customer page, happy owners with TT coaches etc with a satisfied blurb. Food for thought. Ron

I searched on-line for my coach. The thing I missed in most cases was, reference to engine size, capabilities and mileage. Most RV shoppers want to know this information along with the length and all the information about the weight and cargo carring ability. Date on the tires and time of last serviceing is good to know. Just my thoughts.

Bill & Loretta,
I couldn't agree more. My dealer no longer sells new Class A coaches, only Class B Airstreams. When I list a pre-owned unit I enter all the info you refer to.
The coach weight may not be available beyond the GVWR. Sometimes, finding the sticker in the unit with that info can be a challenge.

Hi DB
Its good to hear your asking the users what they require. As I am currently serching all over USA for a Class A unit, I have to agree with others and find the term 'call for price' frustrating. No intention of calling so I have wasted my time.
Also, simplicity. With so much info available on the internet, I would like a site to be as simple as possible to use. Nothing fancy or flashy, just honest and straight forward data and selectors. In addition, if they no longer do Class A, maybe they can join with another agents who does and link into their site?? Just an idea.
All the best

Ice-Man,
Thanks for your comments. I think the site I'm rebuilding will meet your expectations. Every rig displayed includes the asking price.
Although the dealer no longer sells NEW Class A coaches they do take them in trade and resell them. My problem now is finding the time to photograph all the inventory.
Until they terminated there selling agreement with Tiffen, This dealer was the oldest as well as the first Allegro dealer in Florida. They sold Allegro and Airstream Class As. When Airstream got out of the Class A business and the management did an analysis they confirmed that 97% of their business was in towables. Tiffen has no towables.
In the future they may, however, decide to restock Class A and/or Class C coaches.
The Web is so fluid that all one needs to do is Google "Allegro," "Class A RV" or something similar to find too many sources.

The text size on the blue buttons seems too small to me. I have XP and have it set to largest size. My eyesight is about average and I notice this same thing sometimes. Might consider steping it up a size.
Good Luck

Lindsey,
I agree. Unfortunately, this is feature of the page template structure that I have no control over. Having stated that, I'll talk with tech support to see if there is a way to make the button text larger. But, I'm not going to hold my breath.
Thanks for your comments.

Keep the layout and designs simple (in engineering it's called KISS). The more complicated it is the longer it takes to open the page. I don't need flashing lights to get what I know I'm looking for.
If it has "call for price" I immediately move on!
