We bought an ESC with our MH (see sig) mainly because it had been parked in a barn for 6 years, due to previous owner illness. During the 3 yr term it paid for itself +deductibles. All claims were for the coach part, none for the chassis.
We bought both MH and ESC from Camping World. The ESC paid for everything covered without hesitation or question.
FWIW, if you decide to buy an ESC, add in the gaskets and seals rider; otherwise if a gasket fails, low oil/liquid causes something else to fail, it is NOT covered. It's called consequential damage from the failed gasket/seal.
OTOH, if you have the means to self-insure for an unexpected failure (one member here had a total engine failure), that is another option.
