RV Financing

Hello everyone. In December of 2020, I purchased my 2018 Tiffin Phaeton 40IH. Love the coach. I had the money to pay for the coach without financing thinking that I could go back at a later date and get a small loan if I needed to. I recently called a few lenders to see if I could get a small loan on the coach but was informed by all that I have called so far, that they only lend on purchases (new or used coaches), or in cases where you purchase the rig outright, they will lend to you within 90 days of your purchase. Unfortunately I have owned this coach for about 13 months now so I fall outside of that 90 day window.

Does anyone out there know of any lenders that will lend on an owned coach where the ownership has been for over that 90 day period?

Thanks All.

You might try a credit union. They tend to be a little more liberal than a bank.

Have you tried getting a personal loan, and use the coach as collateral/asset towards the loan?

Not wanting to get too personal but I'm taking it a lump sum is needed to pay for something else. Since you're not making any payments now, can the something else be set up to be paid with monthly payments?

RV Financing

Title pawn is probably all you will find. Home equity loan will be your best bet.

I agree in using a credit union and taking a personal loan with the coach as collateral.
