I've been RVing for about 12 years now. Mainly with my now 13 year old daughter, joining my other
RVing friends anywhere and everywhere. I even lived in one for 2 years in northern California when I decided to return to school. Anyway I'm on my 3rd class A fleetwood now and recently stepped up my game from a gasser to a 2002 Revolution DP. Anyway to the point, my girlfriend sees the available space as an opportunity to invite everyone to tag along. I have no problem with them meeting us there and they have with tents but she just opens the floodgates even let's them nap in my bed. Does anyone else have a problem setting rules or boundaries about their rigs and how do you explain to a new RVer (the girlfriend) the sanctity of ones coach. I explained tank capacities, the difference between a house and rv and I keep ending up with damage from guests. Haven't had the coach long but ready to sell it and give up my favorite thing in the world rather than go and not have fun. Please help!

We use the 6-4-2 rule as well, unless tequilla's involved, then the numbers could be shifted a lil!😁

There must be fifty ways to leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover
You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free.

Hadn't heard of the 6-4-2 rule but it sure is appropriate. Interestingly, my 45' DP only sleeps 2 ;-)

Anyone who causes damage more than once (one accident is more than enough)...is not invited to return. Seems the girlfriend doesn't respect your feelings much. Your rig, your rules. If she is contributing to cost of the rig...she has some say in who comes along, otherwise no.

To the OP-
Would you allow this behavior in your non RV home? (brick & mortar)
You are not on the same team...
You have received much good advice.

For some reason you just made the Mel Tillis song pop into my head= "You Got The Hoss and I Got The Saddle"!
Perhaps that's the song she's been singin' eh?
