In MHO the RV industry is in Critical Condition, soon to be on Life Support. In all my yrs of traveling I have never seen so few coachs on the road. There have been plenty of vacancies at CGs where ever we have gone this yr.

We recently came across on Highway 2 from Duluth, MN to Glacier Park (West Glacier). We saw very few motor homes. Most RV's were TT and 5th wheels and not many of those.
Apgar campground in GNP about 1/2 the sites were open compared to 2006. But the Washington state parks that had reserved sites were pretty full. We'll take a count on our return trip.

I do agree that the sales are down and a lot of the manufacturers are in trouble right now. I also think that it depends on the part of the country where you are as to what the traffic is in the campgrounds. As an example, just this last week I was trying to get a space in Myrtle Beach at Ocean Lakes for the first two weeks of October --- no spaces available at all -- this campground has over 800 spaces in it.

Just an observation. Parks close to large urban areas are pretty full. Further out, not as full as two years ago. My bet is people are still traveling, just closer to home. I am definitely seeing fewer rigs on the interstate, and I drive it every day.
Yep the RV industry is not in good health. However housing, automobiles, and others are in the same boat.
