Anyone ever file a claim with their insurance company for water entering through a seam on a slideout room? We were just denied and were told the reason was because it wasn't an impact. We currently are using GMAC through Good Sam.

The insurance companies do not cover damages due to lack of maintenance. I would suggest you read (especially "what is not covered") section of your insurance policy.

These seams need preventative maintenance as well. I have also read that between maintenance, putting talc power on the rubber sweeps to keep them supple helps to prevent hardening and leaks. A Google search for maintenance of RV slidouts will show many sites with helpful tips.
